“Spring will come and so will happiness. Hold on. Life will get warmer.” – Anita Krizzan
Club Members,
The Board has negotiated a Club rental agreement with Flood Gates Church, a local 501c3 not for profit organization looking for a new home for the Sunday services. The rental agreement is for 6 months beginning on Sunday, May 4 and ending on Sunday, October 26.
This is an amazing opportunity for the Church and a financial gain for the Club. This will allow us meet our monthly financial obligations, do some preventive maintenance and begin to rebuild our Capital Replacement fund.
Thank You!
Payments are due on the 1st (FIRST) day of each month. A late fee of fifteen dollars ($15.00) is assessed on payments delinquent more than 10 days. Members have until midnight on the 10th to place their payment in the office door box. Any payment placed in box after the 10th is “late” regardless of the date on the check. If a check is received “late,” an invoice will be mailed out for late fee payment if is not already included with the monthly dues payment.
In 6+ years, sad to say, there has been only ONE (1) month out of 74 months when all dues payments were received by the 10th. There are no plans to change our accepted forms of payment. Thank you to those that are on time every month—you help us pay our bills on time—and to those that are not, please try harder as there will no longer be any calls, texts and email reminders. Your support is critical to our future.
First of all, thank you to all the members who attended this important membership meeting. We appreciate your support and interest to learn about our Club’s current state of affairs and willingness to offer comments and suggestions. As we have been sharing for several months, the Club is struggling financially. If the Club’s cash flow that has occurred over the past 3 months remains unchanged, the Club could lose approximately $5,000 per quarter, which is due, primarily, to a decline in membership, combined with increased cost of fixed expenses. Current membership is 60; to break even we need 80 members. No one wants to see the Club fail.
The Board has been charged with keeping the Club operational and discussed options for generating income without increasing current dues for members or cutting amenities. One option is to allow non-members from outside the community to rent the Clubhouse facility. This was done in the past and could be a very viable option. Another proposal is to meet with The Lakes Community HOA to explore if there is interest among their residents to become non-voting members of WTBM. The number of membership openings would be limited. This option requires a change to the Club Bylaws. The Board will prepare materials to send out to the general membership within 30 days.
A suggestion was offered to reinstate a Welcoming Committee for new residents of the Williamsburg Community. An updated welcome package will be prepared for block captains to distribute to new residents.
The next General Meeting is July 8th. A suggestion was offered to combine the
meeting with a dinner to encourage attendance and community engagement. More details to follow.

Jack Youra is happy to report that on February 14, 2025 we have completed the two repairs on our pool. It was a sweet surprise that the second leak was less costly than our first. Both leaks were on the suction side of the plumbing, with the first requiring digging up the concrete to facilitate a more detailed repair in a PVC fitting.
In addition, the club has proactively purchased some new pump room equipment to bring us into compliance with current codes, as well as a cover for the spa. This cover will help maintain the water temperature and prevent evaporation which will result in a cost savings to utility bills. When using the spa just simply pull back the cover like a bed sheet and neatly drape over a few chairs. Then kindly spread it back over the spa when you are finished.
